Why does a one-way charter cost almost as much as a round trip?

Because the aircraft usually has to fly home after dropping you off, and that empty return is billed. When an aircraft is already heading your way, or its return can be sold as an empty leg, the price can drop sharply.

What is repositioning?

Any flight the aircraft makes without you to start or finish your trip: from its base to your departure airport, or home again afterwards. Our quotes show it rather than folding it into a vague total.

How do I pay less for a one-way?

Stay flexible by a few hours, consider nearby airports, and let us look for aircraft based at your destination or empty legs on your route. One-way math shows how the length of your stay changes the answer.

Can I rely on an empty leg?

Not for a fixed plan. Empty legs often sell at 25–75% off but follow someone else's schedule: the route and time are set, and the flight can be cancelled if the original trip changes.

Is a round trip cheaper than two one-ways?

For short stays, usually yes, because the aircraft waits rather than flying home and back. Beyond about three or four nights, daily minimums and crew costs often make two one-ways cheaper.

Who operates the flight?

A direct air carrier holding an FAA Part 135 certificate, or its overseas counterpart for flights abroad. One Way Private Jet is a broker; the operator named in your charter agreement has operational control.

Are taxes and fees included?

Yes. Quotes include the 7.5% federal excise tax on domestic US charter, segment fees and known airport and handling fees. Variable items such as winter de-icing are flagged.

Can my dog fly with me?

Many operators accept dogs and cats on board, provided they agree in advance. Tell us how many pets are travelling, and their size, so we only quote aircraft that will take them.

What does an all-in quote include?

Flight time, repositioning, crew costs, landing and handling fees, the 7.5% federal excise tax on domestic US charter and segment fees. Costs that can only be confirmed on the day, such as de-icing, are flagged.

Is there a membership or deposit to pay first?

Neither. A quote request costs nothing and creates no obligation; payment only follows a signed charter agreement for the option you choose.

Can I book multi-city trips?

Yes. Enter the first leg in the form and list the others, with dates, in Notes. Multi-city trips can often be arranged so the aircraft finishes near its base, which keeps empty flying down.

How far ahead should I book?

The further ahead, the wider the choice, above all around holidays. Short-notice requests can usually be arranged as well, provided suitable aircraft are free.

Can I change my date after booking?

Changes follow the terms of your charter agreement and depend on the operator's availability. Ask your advisor before you sign how changes and cancellations are handled.

What ID do passengers need?

A government-issued photo ID for domestic flights, and a valid passport plus any visas for international trips. We confirm requirements for your route before departure.
